Building hands-on cloud infrastructure on AWS while growing across IT support, security, networking, and AI — backed by real certifications and real deployments.

My Journey

I am a bilingual cloud and IT professional based in Calgary, Canada, transitioning from 14 years as a secondary school chemistry teacher into cloud computing. I hold the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification (CLF-C02 — April 2026), the Google IT Support Professional Certificate, the Google AI Essentials Certificate, the AWS AI & ML Scholars credential (Udacity), and graduated from NPower Canada's Junior IT Analyst program in March 2026. I am currently pursuing the AWS Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03), targeting the exam in July 2026. Beyond certifications, I have independently deployed five live AWS cloud projects from scratch — solving real business problems across serverless architecture, AI integration, event-driven automation, and FinOps cost optimization. I believe the best way to learn is to build — and this portfolio is a living record of that journey.

What I'm Focused On

Earning the AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification (SAA-C03 — target July 2026), deepening my Python and boto3 skills, and continuing to build cloud projects that solve real business problems — not just technical demos.

Where I'm Headed

A cloud or IT role where I can apply my growing AWS expertise across serverless architecture, automation, and FinOps — and grow toward solutions architecture while contributing to teams that build real infrastructure at scale.

Cloud Portfolio Website

LIVE

Designed and deployed this portfolio website entirely on AWS. The site is stored in Amazon S3, served globally through a CloudFront CDN with edge caching, secured with a free TLS certificate via AWS Certificate Manager, and accessible via a custom domain managed in Route 53. IAM policies control access between services following the principle of least privilege.

Serverless Contact Form

LIVE

A fully serverless contact form built on AWS — no servers, no EC2, no maintenance. Form submissions trigger an AWS Lambda function via API Gateway, which uses Simple Email Service (SES) to deliver a notification to the site owner and an automated reply to the sender. Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles enforce least-privilege access throughout.
